Fans Get a Chance for the ‘BEST SEAT IN THE HOUSE’
HELLYEAH will conclude their 17 month World Tour (2014-2015) with 3 shows in New Zealand, 5 shows in Australia and 2 shows in Japan. The BLOOD FOR BLOOD tour will have been seen by over 1 million fans in Canada, USA, Europe and Asia since April 2014.
Since the BLOOD FOR BLOOD album and touring cycle has been such a success, the band has come up with an innovative idea to memorialize this album at their final shows. Seven (7) fans at three shows per night are going to get to show off their own ‘BEST SEAT IN THE HOUSE’ and will have a chance to participate in the documentation of the excitement of a HELLYEAH live show by filming from their own different points-of-view in the venue with GoPro cameras provided by the band. Be it – in the pit, on the barrier, or up in the balcony – these 7 lucky winners will have a once-in-a-lifetime experience to share their unique points-of-view to be included in a future full-length DVD feature film each city. Fans can enter via the band’s website at this Official Entry Form for shows in Sydney, Brisbane and Melbourne only.
“The band is on fire right now. We’ve had such an awesome response from fans/friends/extended Hellion family all over the world – we couldn’t let this opportunity pass us all by…we’re truly one! one! \m/! In the pit, on the rail or in the balcony! It doesn’t matter!..because where ever we are…’WE’RE ALL IN THIS TOGETHER!'” – Chad Gray
The release of the band’s 4th album, BLOOD FOR BLOOD, in June 2014, marked a new era for HELLYEAH – the album garnered unprecedented acclaim from critics, media and fans alike. Featuring vocalist Chad Gray of Mudvayne; drummer Vinnie Paul of Pantera; Guitarist Tom Maxwell of Nothingface; bassist Kyle Sanders Bloodsimple, Monstro; and Christian Brady from Überschall, HELLYEAH is at its peak with this combination of musicianship.
LOUDWIRE called the album “tailor made for the stage and HELLYEAH now have the line-up to pull it off live…” and REVOLVER said “HELLYEAH’s pain is our gain (on BLOOD FOR BLOOD).”
HELLYEAH is slated to return to the studio with producer Kevin Churko this autumn. Writing has already begun on the road and the band is excited to bring their new ideas to their loyal fans.
“NO MORE! That’s right! NO MORE! This is something very close to me. I am not here to exploit this cause or “NO MORE” for my own gain, and i wasn’t sitting in a room twisting my goatee plotting for this opportunity when I wrote the lyrics for HUSH. Music to me is an exorcism of the past. It allows me to approach those situations head-on in a way that I can understand them, process them, and while I cannot eliminate them completely – It gives me the ability to deal with them. Music is my voice. It’s cathartic and therapeutic for me.
This is something I have battled through personally, and the “NO MORE” cause was my real life inspiration for HUSH. Over the years, every time I perform these songs I relive those memories, and every time, I take another brick off the wall that has been built, or drop another stone off the load that I carry. Memory and experience is what I have (good or bad) to make better decisions in my life. I hope that you can all take something away from this. Life is full of forgiveness, and I’ve had to forgive to live a more settled life. So forgive, lay down your arms, be a better person and take a stand with me. YOU’RE NOT ALONE! Raise your voice and Stand against domestic violence. #NOMORE #HUSHNOMORE NOMORE.org” – Chad
In honor of #NOMOREWeek and in support of NOMORE.org’s mission to end domestic violence and sexual assault, HELLYEAH will be releasing our new single “Hush” TOMORROW…
HELLYEAH is set to release our new single “Hush” on March 13th as part of NO MORE Week. The song lyrics, written by Chad, discuss his personal experience growing up in a home with domestic violence, and aim to shed light on a hidden subject while letting other survivors know that they are not alone.
Created by No More (a unifying symbol and awareness movement focused on engaging bystanders to end domestic violence and sexual assault) along with its many partners, “No More Week” is designed to spark conversations around issues of domestic violence and sexual assault and galvanize more communities, organizations and corporations to make them a priority year-round.
Across the nation, advocates equipped with free education and awareness tools, will host more than 50 “No More Week”events. They span a wide range of activities, including a cross-country skating event, fundraisers for local service providers, bystander education workshops, screenings of films that highlight these often hidden and stigmatized issues and the launch of state and local No More campaigns.
No More was launched in 2013 with the support of nearly every domestic violence and sexual assault prevention organization in the country. They all agreed that increasing awareness for these issues with a unifying awareness symbol could have a tremendous positive impact. Representatives from these organizations serve as advisors on No More’s Steering Committee, and all individual donations and any profits generated from product sales in the No More store are donated to support their lifesaving work.
